Artglass AR 70 is made invisible by being coated with metal oxide ions in one of the largest magnetron deposition systems in the world. Our mind-bending technology ensures that the anti-reflective layers are as thin as 1/500th of the diameter of a human hair, and completely invisible to the eye.

Anti-reflective glass has a characteristic reflection color, which occurs from light wave manipulation through AR coatings. Artglass AR 70 has a neutral green reflection color that can be noticed under an angle. It's characteristic to all anti-reflective glass, and you also see it on prescription glasses.
Anti-reflective glass is ultra-smooth, clear glass processed with optical nano coatings that eliminate reflections. The result is smooth glass that's ultra-transparent and easy to clean. Non-glare glass is treated with a 'matte' finish that diffuses light, resulting in decreased glare. However, the etched surface is harder to clean and obscures the details in the framed work.
When transporting glass, proper safety measures should always be ensured. Artglass AR 70 is not shatter-resistant, hence physical damage is possible. However, if properly secured, glass can be transported once or twice. However, if you're planning to move your framed artwork or require physical protection against seismic activity, choose our anti-reflective Artglass Lifetime Acrylic for additional protection against shattering.
While Artglass AR 70 glass offers basic protection, some mediums and materials may still fade or be damaged because of exposure to ultraviolet light. If you notice any signs of damage, consult with your local framer and consider upgrading to Artglass AR 99 Water White or similar conservation-grade products. UV damage accumulates and is expensive to restore, therefore quality materials and professional framing are your best options to safeguard your framed artworks.
