What is Artglass Lifetime Acrylic made from?

Artglass anti-reflective acrylic is made from a premium, ultra-clear acrylic substrate, coated with our durable anti-reflective and anti-static coatings. An additional hard coating is applied to guarantee scratch-resistant and ultra-transparent acrylic glazing.

Does Artglass Lifetime Acrylic attruct dust?

Unlike regular acrylic, Artglass Lifetime Acrylic is anti-static and doesn't attract dust or other particles to the glazing surface. This is achieved with our anti-static high durability coatings that also make the glazing near-invisible.

How can I cut Artglass Lifetime Acrylic?

To cut Artglass Lifetime Acrylic, leave the protective film on for as long as possible and use a cutting tool suitable for scoring acrylic. Measure and score the product several times to create a narrow, sharp gauge in the acrylic sheet. Place the acrylic sheet over the edge of a table with the gauge-side up and clamp the sheet if needed. Bend the sheet downwards in a quick motion to create a smooth cut. Use a knife to cut the remaining protective film. For more handling tips, see our Artglass Lifetime Acrylic brochure.

How is Artglass Lifetime Acrylic made?

Artglass Lifetime Acrylic is made from the clearest acrylic substrate and coated inside our large vertical magnetron deposition system. By optimizing our coating equipment for the acrylic substrate, we achieve a uniform and durable coating on the shatter-resistant material.

Is anti-glare acrylic the same as anti-reflective acrylic?

No. The anti-glare effect is created by slightly etching the glass surface, hence diminishing the clarity and precision of the transmitted image. Anti-reflective coatings are applied in ultra-thin and uniform layers, achieving supreme clarity and a smooth surface, with almost 10x less reflections.
