HOW IT WORKS

Artglass AR 99 Protect is made from two layers of premium low-iron anti-reflective glass. The sheets are treated with anti-reflective coating on one side and bonded with a PVB film. The bonding film ensures maximum UV protection, and ensures that the laminated glass sides don't reflect any of the surrounding light.

What is Artglass laminated glass made of?

Laminated glass consists of two sheets of glass that are permanently bonded with an ultra-transparent PVB film layer. Both surfaces of Artglass AR 99 Protect laminated glass are anti-reflective, achieving the same visual appearance as our other near-invisible products. In case of shattering, glass shards remain attached to the interlayer, reducing the risk of damaging the artwork.

What is Artglass AR 99 Protect used for?

Because of its shatter-resistant properties, Artglass AR 99 Protect is suitable for precious artworks displayed in public areas. Used in museum showcases around the world, Artglass AR 99 Protect is a great choice for protection in glass displays and is produced in a variety of thicknesses.

How to cut Artglass AR 99 Protect?

Artglass AR 99 Protect consists of two glass sheets with lamination PVB film in the middle. Because of the laminated film, both sides of the glass need to be scored before the breaking of the glass can be performed. To score Artglass AR 99 Protect, measure and score one side of the glass. Carefully, flip the glass to the other side. Score the other side of the glass along the same measurement. If needed, clamp the glass to the table, and carefully break the glass at your scored line. After both glass sheets have been broken, carefully cut the lamination PVB foil with a sharp narrow blade.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I START NOTICING ARTWORK DAMAGE BEHIND ARTGLASS AR 99 PROTECT?

Artglass AR 99 Protect laminated glass will make sure your artwork is protected from UV light, but there are other conditions that can potentially affect the artwork within the frame.
